Spring of my youth

The girls
Parade their
New summer
Dresses.

The squirrels
Chase each other
Round and
Around
The trees.

The flowers
Push through
Wet soil
Revealing
G-d's beautiful
Plan.

Is it all
The same
As every other
Year?

What did
Harsh, cold
And dark
Once describe?

The sun's soft kiss
Seems more real
Than the darkest
Stare of winter.
Life way more
Physical than
Death ever was.

Her mud
Covered face
Shines brighter
Than any light
Surrounded
By the dead
Of winter.
Though, at times
Still painful,
And hard
To believe...

Smile!
Believe!
He is GOOD!
Life is real!
Life is here!

She lives with the
Butterflies who
Dance in the
Wind.

Enjoy her.
Let her love
Fill you with
Delight.

If you find her
Do not try to
Catch her.
Her beauty is in
Her freedom.

If you find her
Do not try to
Catch her.
Tell her that
You love her!

My favorite part that truly struck me are the last 4 stanzas:

    Butterflies who
    Dance in the
    Wind.

    Enjoy her.
    Let her love
    Fill you with
    Delight.

    If you find her

  4. I always read your entries, but don't always comment. I love your poetry and stories. Can I also just quickly say that I love your new lady friend, too? She is poetry in motion and it just blesses my heart so much to know you are together :) Sean and I rejoice with you!!
