have i mentioned my computer is on the fritz? putting on the ritz? well it is...
it has been an interesting journey. moving out to Whispering Hills with no TV, or internet. all the time i have spent watching videos or looking at pictures of people i hardly know (otherwise known as creepin) on facebook has been replaced with talking with Keith, reading, writing, watching wood burn and talking with the Lrd. the question comes to mind, do i actually need a computer? what do i need a computer for? there are plenty of computers in the world. working at the library is actually kinda nice. its quiet, there are people and computers! sure it kinda sucks that i can't look up tabs right away when i think of a specific worship song i want to learn but other than that its been liberating!!
i feel like the Lrd has brought me to a place where i can dwell in the secret place. No distractions. He is showing me what His voice sounds like as the 'necessary' noise of the modern life fades from my life.
can i say it again? this is going to be a really really really good year! Praise the Lrd who speaks to us clearly so we do not have to stumble in the dark and try to guess where He is and what He is saying!! Has His arm become so short as to not reach us? Can He not speak through the fog of humanism and modernism and reveal the path we are to take? How proud we are if we think that He who created words can not cause us to understand. no matter how deprived or confused we think we are He is always stronger, always greater, always able. MORE THAN ABLE to do all we need and ask!!
PRAISE THE LRD!! Im so excited!!!!!
Amen! That's really encouraging. I think I'm going to cut my internet next month.
ReplyDeleteway to see the value in this! we have been internet free, tv free and movie-rental free for a while now and sometimes i miss it, but i agree, overall it's awesome what He can do/say/accomplish in/for/around/through us when we're not distracted. i'm excited for you...keep us posted and enjoy these new pastimes :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you. I especially like your 3rd paragraph. I'm excited what the L-rd does in your life in this next season. Big things I'm sure.
