enter the monkeys

i think i need a different title for my page...  it has evolved into something rather less like what i first envisioned it to be.

on a very different note i would like to introduce you to Myndia (mine-dee-uh) a place in my head...  perhaps a nice new page name?  Myndia, a place in my head. haha

They had long forgotten why they migrated to the Honorable tree, as they called it.  there were different theories: they were escaping from various monstrous things that lived on the ground below, they were sent to the tree because the tree they came from was over crowded, they were the ancestors of a great orangutan explorer who came to presently be known as Coco.
No one knew exactly for sure which of these theories were true or even if any of them were.  but they were sure of one thing, whatever the reason, it was quite an important reason.  it was this sense of purpose and importance that kept them doing the only thing they could remember...  picking leaves.  not all the leaves of course, that would result in the death of their home.  only the bumpy leaves were discarded.  their fathers and mothers had picked the bumpy leaves, their fathers fathers and mothers mothers had picked the bumpy leaves, their fathers fathers fathers... well you get the idea.  all they remembered was the systematic removal of the bumpy leaves year after year.
honestly it is quite an impressive feet.  Every year at plucking season the Tangs would migrate to the East of the tree and work their way West plucking all the bumpies as they went.  this whole process only took a few months.  yet, some Tangs began to become dissatisfied with their lot in life.
Victor, a particularly vocal Tang, was being particularly vocal about this dissatisfaction.  he waved his arms and legs around as he complained, jumping up and down to add that extra umph to the points he felt were especially important.  every Tang around him continued to pluck as Victor debated the air.  a few lifted their heads to look at him now again.
"... and nobody knows why!  No one can remember why we've been plu..."  his final jump of emphasis may have been a little too emphasized causing him to miss his launching pad.  every one looked up from their work as they watched Victor disappear.
Moe looked at Spence.
"i told him he'd fall off someday if he stopped plucking."
Spence replied, "I wonder what it's like down there.  think he'll survived the fall?"
Moe looked confused, "if Victor does survive we will never see him again anyway.  You know He doesn't let Tangs that have been kicked off back on."
they continued their plucking...
