As he was passing through the last part of the non-cotton candy land he was addressed by a short fellow with dark wiry glasses and a comb over in a plaid sweater. "Ehllooo friend!" fellow exclaimed with an exaggerated wave. "You're backpack and expedition hat show me you're an experienced traveler. May i ask a favor of you hmmmm?" He stared blankly at the fellow for only a second and fellow interrupted his thoughts. "I'm sorry. How rude of me to not introduce myself. I'm Nickle Odie Ian. Some call me Tin some call me Copper." The big smile on the fellows face revealed he thought this was quite a funny joke. He wondered how many times the fellow had told someone that joke as he patiently waited for the fellow to continue. "cough, (how do you spell the sound of clearing the throat? for real please someone answer this question)" the fellow adjusted his glasses with his pointer finger as he continued, "anyway i have a job that needs to be done and i was wondering if you might be up to it? i'll pay you whatever you ask. just carry this here pack and the Onyx in it. sure it's a little heavy but nothing you probably can't deal with seeing as your such an experienced traveler. naturally it's too much for me to carry the hole way. i mean look at me im a full 3 feet shorter than you! that's why i need someone to carry it. i'll walk with you of course just in case you need any help or advice or anything really. i just really need this Onyx carried perfectly. whatdoyasay?"
He had been thinking of his journey and how far he had to go before he arrived at his destination. When He noticed that the fellow had stopped talking he picked up the package. It wasn't so heavy he couldn't carry it. though this fellow seems like he may not enjoy the silence as much as him, yet his need for money overcame his need for silence and He agreed to carry the pack for the bald stubby fellow. How long would this fellow be following him and where was he supposed to take this pack?
all this and more in the next installment of (insert whatever i decide to call these small stories)!
Ha ha I will be left with a feeling of irresolution until you post the next installment. My favorite line is "...yet his need for money overcame his need for silence..."
